Benjamin R. Judd Esq.

Benjamin R. Judd, Esq., a Michigan native, received his Bachelor of Science from (B.S.) from Grand Valley State University. Benjamin then received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. To further refine his expertise in the area of tax law, he received a Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M.) also from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While completing his LL.M., Ben served as a Law Clerk at the Michigan Tax Tribunal. In this position, he worked directly with the Michigan Tax Tribunal Judges and the Chief Clerk in many property tax cases and gained extensive experience researching complex tax issues and writing orders under supervision of the Tribunal.

Benjamin previously served the Tribunal as a Michigan Tax Tribunal Hearing Referee. In this role, he presided over Principal Residence Appeals, Property Tax Appeals, Special Assessment Appeals and other Small Claims Cases and drafted and issued Orders and Judgments in these cases. His background provides him with an extensive knowledge of the Michigan Tax Tribunal's operations and places him on the forefront of the current state of the State of Michigan tax law. His expertise allows him to vigorously represent his clients involved in complex tax controversies.

Benjamin is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Tax Section, Administrative Law Section and the State and Local Tax committee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association.
